Grant Perry’s international toast was to the Rotary Club of Limassol-Berengaria Cosmopolitan on the island of Cyprus and it’s President, Elisabeth Villigier Toufexis, pictured at left.
Our Gust Speaker this week was Judith Field who is a professional public speaking coach.
What a great presentation! Judith told us that the most common fear amongst people is that of speaking in public. In her presentation she gave us many techniques for overcoming this fear and help make our presentations interesting and entertaining.
Judith’s Direct Speech is a unique company. Focusing mostly on schools, businesses and individuals, Direct Speech has mesmerising messages and techniques to increase the confidence of participants.
Judith Field has 30 years’ experience teaching secondary school English. As Head of English at Mount Scopus Memorial College she implemented an Oral Communication program which saw many shy students overcome their barriers to public speaking and has since gone on to train many school public speaking competition winners.
