We are planning to be joined by members of the St. Marylebone Rotary Club. Their website is here. We have been visited on two occasions by a member of this Club, Carole Harris and she has now proposed a joint meeting. Carole last joined us on January 29, this year. Refere here. It is expected that their members will be on Zoom as the 26th March is so scheduled. They will be deliberately delaying their meeting until 8.30pm. |

The conference will be held in Bendigo with plenary sessions and the Saturday night gala dinner at the Red Energy Arena - Friday 28 March - Sunday 30 March 2025.

EVENING MEETING We will be meeting at the Sandringham Yacht Club in the members bar/dining area. Meals will be ordered individually from the Club menu - ie there is NO FIXED COST. Drinks will be available at bar prices. It is ESSENTIAL that you book for this event via the registration link at left. You are welcome to invite guests but they must also be registered. If you are inviting a guest, can youi please ensure you include their address. Club and licensing rules require names and addresses of all non-members. The club member vote that will be conducted at the club breakfast on Wednesday 21 May 2025 whether to create a sub-account in the Equity Trustees Charitable Foundation with the 'Frankston house' funds.
Proxy voting will be available for club members who are unable to attend the meeting and wish to cast their vote. For members wishing to vote by proxy - please complete the proxy form AVAILABLE HERE , and email it to the club secretary, Karin Soster, by 5pm Tuesday 20 May 2025.
As a reminder - please refer the information about Equity Trustees that was emailed to all club members on Wednesday 7 May 2025.

Any members with queries regarding the proposal should direct their queries to the board, and emailed to the club secretary, Karin Soster - no later than 5pm Sunday 18 May 2025 to enable adequate time for investigation. Our speaker this week is Dr Daryl Moran, co author of recently released book, In the Fight - about Australians and the war in Burma 1942-45. Daryl is a past District Governor of District 9810. The following bio is taken from the publisher's page here. Daryl Moran is an independent military historian who has had a long career as a professional educator and administrator in various schools including a two year posting to an international in India. He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne. Daryl has published Empire’s Noble Son (2019) and is currently working as co-author on Resolute: Australian aircrew in the Burma Theatre 1942-1945, with Andrew Kilsby. His special interest in the Burma campaign was aroused during his time as an educator in India when he came across the graves of RAAF members killed in the conflict. In the Fight has given him the chance to further uncover many untold stories of other Australians in the theatre. About the book - taken from the publisher's page here.
