Message from our President

From the Desk of President Margaret
Hello and I hope that all of you are well.
This week I would like to revisit the District Incentives Rewards Program.
For the members who attended the club meeting on September 21 2022, we had a “workshop” on the program and what the club can achieve to earn either a polo shirt or even a hoodie for all members.

The following is a list of activities the club has to achieve in order to earn  points.
Induct a new member, corporate member.              1000 points per member
Members registered 9810 conference.                       500 points per member
Reach Foundation Target of $120 US per member   400 points
Initial visit to another club’s meeting                        400 points per club
Members registered for the RI Convention in Melbourne
   200 points per member
Update your club website with Imagine Rotary theme and current logo
   200 points
An article published in the DG’s newsletter,              200 points
Members attend District seminar/training                  100 points
A completed service project                                        100 points per project
A club marketing/public image Rotarian                    100 points
Collect stamps and foreign coins                                 100 points
Invite a District Chair ro speak at your meeting          100 points

There are terms and conditions attached to these incentives. Please talk to me if you would like more detail.

The information that I have gleaned so far would total 2900 points for the club. This is based on the following:
Members registered for the conference in Canberra.
Ian Ballantine
Peter O’Brien
Linda O’Brien
Karin Soster
Faye Weeks

Members registered for in May in Melbourne
Ian Ballantine

Invite a District Chair to speak at our club meeting.
PDG David Tolstrup Chair of Zone 8 Regionalisation Pilot Project on 18 August
Ken Miriams Chair of Youth Protection on 9 November

We can earn another 400 points if members visit another club’s meeting.
So far, I have been informed that Geoff Gartley has visited another club.
Geoff has brought back some very interesting insights into what we can do to attract new members. This illustrates that visiting clubs can earn us points and also give us tips on what we can do to attract new members or do things differently to make improvements.

I am confident that we can already perform many of the activities listed and would appreciate members contacting me with relevant information so that I can tally up all the points and have them verified by the District Secretary.

If we can achieve a total of 7000 points, each member will receive a polo shirt with our club name on  it. However, if we achieve 10,000 points, then each member will get a hoodie. Let Us work together and see what we can achieve.
GO RCBMC

Thanks you and have a nice day

President Margaret Mason
