Message from our President - Ron's Ramblings
What interesting and informative speakers(s) we had this morning. Stroke is something we should all be aware of and the steps to take.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE.
As advised this morning our next meeting on August 9th is an evening meeting and we have been advised by Holmesglen that we need to advise them of definite numbers attending by Tuesday morning, so can I ask that you please book yourself and any guests with myself or Samantha by Monday night so that they can cater accordingly. Apologies will also be received.
We have an excellent speaker in David Trotter who has operated a gym in Ormond for over 20 years and is now a trained exercise physiologist who specialises in post-op and trauma injury rehabilitation.
We would love to see as many as possible, you but do not forget to book.
We also have another interesting and entertaining speaker on August 30th, David Baird, who has been a chauffeur, confidante, and protector of the rich and famous He has some interesting stories, save the date.

Our Rotary member Paul Ferguson CEO was responsible for obtaining a Signed St Kilda football jumper This was donated by the Moorabbin Airport to Inner Wheel It was auctioned this week at the IW meeting raising $500 for a charity 3D Hands. One happy IW lady is now the owner Thank you Paul and the Moorabbin Airport
Geoff Gartly was our chairperson for today’s club meeting at Cilantro. D.G. Ian performed invocation and Paul performed the loyal toast. Tony, Glenda, Helen, Charles and Karin joined the meeting via Zoom.
Julie Reid chaired today’s club meeting at Cilantro. D.G. Ian Ballantine performed Invocation and Peter O’Brien performed the Loyal Toast. Guests included Henrietta Foley, BMC RYLA participant and our guest speaker for today, and her supporters – parents Cree and Peter Foley, grandmother Kathy, Matthew (Rotaract Club of Whitehorse), friend Maria and Eva from Holmesglen. An army of members joined the meeting via Zoom – PP Glenda Stahel, Tony Ryan, Charles Rener, Neville Kruss, Helen Parker; and from D9810 District RYLA Committee- Trish Carr and Les Marton.
Yesterday ( Saturday 22/7) I delivered the donations from club members to Impact for Women in Sandringham. They were very grateful to receive them especially as they were running low on toiletries.
Thank you again to everyone who so generously donated. It is much appreciated by me and those who will ultimately receive your donations.

Note from the Editor re Images and Events
A point regarding the submission of images for the Bulletin and Website: Members are reminded that images have to meet a minimum size requirement, as has been specified for some time in the section at the bottom of this Bulletin. 820 pixels is the minimum size required with larger being better as this allows for cropping. The submission of images via MMS is NOT preferred as they are too small and of inferior quality. Email or Whatsapp is preferred.
Would any member like to take responsibility for the updating of the Club's Event Calendar? I have created a page of instructions here so it is very easy to take over.
