Message from our President

Rotary in Australia is turning 100. This is an outstanding achievement, a service organisation that has managed to remain relevant in a society that has changed so much over that period.
As a club I would like to see us celebrate and share that achievement amongst ourselves, with those we support and the general community more broadly. I will be raising the matter at tonight’s board meeting but would also appreciate further suggestions from committee chairs and club members.
Regards,
Geoff Gledhill
Meeting this week:
This week we are back at Cilantro. Our speaker is Nicole Lewis Jacobs who started making soups during the lockdown last year and her service to the community has grown enormously since that time.

Weekly Meeting April 14 2021 Anne Coughlan
This Wednesday was a most glorious morning with the sun shining after a few really chilly and wet days. The birds were chirping and our Guest Speaker, Anne Coughlan from Community Information and Support Services was cheerfully waiting to do her presentation. Karin was Chairperson and invited us to stand for a minute silence in honor of Prince Philip who sadly passed away last Friday.

Rotary District 9810 Training Assembly May 2021
The District Training Assembly is an annual event aimed at informing club office bearers of the latest developments in Rotary in order to better prepare for their role. It’s not just for new office bearers. It’s an opportunity for the more experienced Rotarians to share their experience in a mutually supportive learning environment, aimed at strengthening all our clubs. It’s also a great opportunity for newer Rotarians to network and learn more about the “bigger picture” of Rotary and what happens beyond their club.
On behalf of District Governor Elect Dr Daryl Moran, PDG Tony Monley OAM, D9810 Learning & Development Chair, invites all members of our District to register for one or more sessions in this year’s District Training Assembly.
