Message from our President - Tim's Tattles .

Last Wednesday's meeting was an evening meeting and was well attended with the usual delicious Cordon Bleu dinner . Simone Gescheit spoke to us thanks to Larry Green's endeavours.
Simone is an actress who has played in Neighbours , Blue Heelers, and a myriad of other famous Australian Series spoke to us about well being, mindfulness and voice . It was a scintillating meeting with great questions asked at the conclusion of the meeting.
Next week we have a club forum where we will vote on the recent resolutions that were approved by the board.
In addition to this Linda O'Brien will speak to us about the Holland Foundation.
Please come to vote on these resolutions.
Yours in Rotary  ‘The Magic of Rotary’
President Tim Lynch

Emergency Plus App
As members may recall, a couple of weeks ago we had reason to call for an ambulance to attend at Cilantro.
I am taking the opportunity now to recommend to members, and whoever else finds this article, to consider installing the Emergency Plus app on their smart device. And, to ensure you place a shortcut on your Home Screen.

Opening the app at a time of emergency will give you immediate access to the appropriate phone numbers and, very importantly, provide accurate location information. Often a simple street address may not be available or useful.
Read on into this article for how to obtain the app and a summary of what it contains.

Market Report November 10 2024

Team members: Ian Ballantine, Helen Parker, Ron Brownlees, Sue Loeliger. Carlo and Jothi from Moorabbin RC and Billy.
Other helpers and visitors: Charles Rener
Cars in queue: 7. Night parkers : 1
Pedestrian count  2005
Market Report:Morning started fine and a little busy with a number of people trying to buy stalls “on the day”. Thanks to Ron, all were accommodated. Ian and Helen had as a guest volunteer “EJ” who is a son of a close friend and who is participating in the “Duke of Edinburgh” award and needs to complete some voluntary hours. Somebody is
still throwing stones into the money spinner. This week it was before 9, so I suggest we look out, especially early. We received a (justifiable) complaint from the owner of the Barber Shop about bikes (for sale) leaning up against his roller door. Wayne was asked to immediately remove them and told very clearly he was not allowed to do this. Please watch for this in future.
My sincere thanks to all who attended who ensured we had a most successful day.
Leader, Ian Ballantine

Note from the Editor re Images and Events
A point regarding the submission of images for the Bulletin and Website: Members are reminded that images have to meet a minimum size requirement, as has been specified for some time in the section at the bottom of this Bulletin. 820 pixels is the minimum size required with larger being better as this allows for cropping. The submission of images via MMS is NOT preferred as they are too small and of inferior quality. Email or Whatsapp is far superior.
Would any member like to take responsibility for the updating of the Club's Event Calendar? I have created a page of instructions here so it is very easy to take over.
Thank you, Ian Ballantine
