Message from our President
As I mentioned previously, last weeks board meeting involved some great discussion on the future of the club, obviously not definitive positions, that’s a role for the club as a whole, rather setting up
the framework that will guide the club into the future.
The club strategy is key and we have had initial discussions as a club on that but we will also look to examine the culture of our club, what are our key values and norms. What are our expectations of ourselves and each other, ultimately it’s envisaged that we will require the guidance of a professional facilitator to walk us through that process. Finally we are going to review the club Code of Conduct, we need to ensure that such an important document continues to best serve the interests of every member.
Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday
Regards,
Geoff Gledhill

Our Club meets weekly. It can either be a Zoom meeting, or an "in person" meeting.
Please check details of each week's meeting here or elsewhere in this Bulletin to confirm venue. You are very welcome to join us.
I only recently learned of The Four-Way Test, one of Rotary’s central principles. It is of special interest in the current day, when truth — or, more precisely, truthfulness — seems to be losing its prestige in public life.
Kevin was our Chairperson and Speaker on this still dark morning! Autumn is making its presence felt. He invited Ian to give us Invocation and Peter N to present the Royal Loyal Toast. Pres. Geoff welcomed us all and reminded us that the meeting was a Club Forum.
Multi-District conference “Virtual Victoria” will be happening on Saturday and Sunday 1 and 2 May. Registration will be free and the booking site will open soon – you’ll be notified.
From the Calendar page here you can subscribe to the Club's event calendar.
This will result in the Club's calendar being added to your existing calendar subscriptions, thus ensuring that as an event is added (or modified) to the Club's calendar, it will appear on your phone, tablet etc. Calendars supported are Outlook, Google and Apple.
Take the link, Subscribe to Calendar, from the Calendar Page.
For browser users who are unfamiliar with this trick, it allows you to "force" a link you are clicking on to open in another tab of your browser.
Usually, links open in the same tab of your browser, meaning you can no longer see the page you came from. To see it again you would normally just hit the back button.
Opening in a new tab allows you to easily switch between the two, (or more) pages.
Just a reminder to members, the above information regarding birthdays and anniversaries comes directly from each members information contained in the Club Runner (Rotary) database. As I have said before, it is up to each member to check, add or change information in their own profile. As editor, I do not enter this information into this bulletin. It is passed directly from the database.

A reminder to members to keep checking the calendar of upcoming events for evening and perhaps, one day, daytime events.
