Message from our President
As I write our Change Over Dinner is set to proceed this Saturday night at the Bentleigh Club, thanks to Helen, Linda and Margaret for all the time you have put in to organising the event under very trying circumstances.
Of course the change over itself is cause for reflection on the past and excitement about the future.
There is no way I can adequately express my feelings about my time as the President of the RCBMC in a few words in the bulletin so that will come later. For now I want to say thank you to every club member and in particular all the board members I have served with over the past two years. It has had its challenges for sure but then again Rotarians are always up for a challenge aren’t they! See you Saturday night.
See you in the morning on Zoom. Meeting starts at 7.30 but Zoom meeting starts at 7.15. Meeting details here.
Regards,
Geoff Gledhill
Meeting this week

Our Club meets weekly. It can either be a Zoom meeting, or an "in person" meeting.
Please check details of each week's meeting here or elsewhere in this Bulletin to confirm venue. You are very welcome to join us.
This notice was meant to go in last week's Bulletin and I apologise for it's omission. Members will be saddened to hear of the passing of Jill Richards, wife of past District Governor Bob Richards(2006-7). Jill has been battling illness for some time. IanB
In other news, please note the date of the District 9810 Changeover dinner has been changed to Saturday, 9th July. Details here.
Our own Club Changeover is still on this Saturday, details here. It is expected that numbers will be very limited - there will be an update at the meeting this week (tomorrow June 16)
Sue Loeliger was Chair. Members watched a video on a presentation made by Jessie harman at the multi-district conference in May 2021. Jessie is a member of the Rotary Club of Wendouree in Ballarat and will be on the R.I. Board from the next Rotary year on 1 July 2021 Jessie’s presentation is about the future of Rotary and is entitled “ Rotary in the next 100 years.”
The meeting was held on ‘zoom’ and the guest speaker was our very own Grant Perry. Grant made an informative, interesting and intellectually challenging presentation on “Polymerase Chain Reaction” (PCR).
From the Calendar page here you can subscribe to the Club's event calendar.
