Message from our President
As we slowly emerge from the grasp of Covid I think it is crucial for our committees to reach out to those that our club have supported in the past, see what the need, investigate how the people and families they support have fared over the past 12 months, my feeling is that the answer will be “not well”.
Evidence in the media and gained through general dialogue throughout the community strongly suggests that the cost of this virus is wide spread and deep seated so please ensure that your committees are considering a wide variety of projects.
I hope to see as many of us as possible at breakfast this week to be held at – Virginia Park Café 262 East Boundary Road ,East Bentleigh, 7.00am for 7.10 (venue details here) and don’t forget to Ron Brownlees email regarding pre-ordering your meal.

Our Club meets weekly. We are now trying to meet in person once again each week but the venue can vary week to week. Please check details of this week's meeting elsewhere in this bulletin to confirm venue. You are very welcome to join us.
Last week’s meeting was a most casual gathering with members collecting their breakfasts from a buffet choice. Pres Geoff welcome Glenda who was In Melbourne for a few days. Marvellous to see her. He also welcomed Zilla who has not been well and this was her first face-to-face meeting and Kevin who has been in Queensland.
This meeting was held at the Buckingham in Highett and featured Ron Brownlees as our guest speaker as he gave a very quick summary of his 40 odd years in Local Government. The meeting also featured the "physical" induction of Roy Kaplan.
On this Australia day 2021 we were proud to join with our cluster clubs, Moorabbin and Mordialloc to engage with community to clean up our beautiful Karkarook Park, utilising all the guidelines for covid safe environment. More photos can be found in an album here.
