Another bus week has come and gone, and I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped with the bar -b -que at the ‘Big Serve’ tennis Tournament at Beaumaris, especially Peter and Grant who helped with the pickup and delivery of goods from the market and then their return, due to a little accident my physical activity was a bit limited.
It was good to see our attendance at the last meeting back to a good level after the recent attendance of only nine at the previous breakfast, I cannot recall one that low.  This week will also be a well attended dinner with guest speaker Scott Weeks, let’s hope we can keep it up, and I am sure the Cilantro team would appreciate it. Thank you Glenda for the great job with speakers over recent months.
The market this week was also interesting. Advice from Trybooking and the bank alerted us to some patrons trying to use stolen/fake credit cards to make stall bookings. As the market was a ‘sellout’ we were able cancel the suspected booking and to also discover a couple of squatters on the day who thought they would take advantage of a couple of late arrivals and one late ‘no show’ due to Covid. Julie got the money from them despite their pleas of ‘no phone, no cards, no ID’. A tough leader Julie but needed to be. This was compounded later by a young woman collapsing at closing time and the need for an ambulance. (Police were also called due to behaviour) The team obviously had its hands full this week, so well done to all.  
The meeting on November 8th will be a fellowship/ information meeting and will be the opportunity for anyone who has a suggestion to make regarding club activities/operation to do so.
