Message from our President
Whilst I will wait for Greg to confirm, the news is looking good for our return to Cilantro. I’ve appreciated everyone’s efforts in organising alternative venues however I’m sure you will all agree that it will be good to get back to what we consider home.
Additionally what this will provide is the ability for us to run hybrid face to face/zoom meetings, allowing us to hopefully broaden our scope for guest speakers.
Certainly something for us all to look forward to.
Regards,
Geoff Gledhill

Our Club meets weekly. It can either be a Zoom meeting, or an "in person" meeting.
Please check details of each week's meeting here or elsewhere in this Bulletin to confirm venue. You are very welcome to join us.
I attended Kingston Council last Monday to re-present a repaired gavel and block that my father had presented in 1963 at the opening of the Moorabbin Town Hall.
Paul was our Chairperson on this very wet and dark Wednesday morning. At least we are not flooded like the long-suffering people in NSW. Thank goodness. Grant and John M presented us with the Invocation and the Loyal, Royal Toasts. Paul welcomed Suzette, Jo’s friend and colleague and our Guest Speaker Kim Ellis. Pres. Geoff greeted us all and mentioned his opening article in this week’s Bulletin Board dealing with the looking at the mixture of the club and the importance of needing a discussion and the talk of where the club is heading in the future.
Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Interactors worked together in a nationwide project that promoted behavior change and initiated safety standards for businesses
I only recently learned of The Four-Way Test, one of Rotary’s central principles. It is of special interest in the current day, when truth — or, more precisely, truthfulness — seems to be losing its prestige in public life.
Multi-District conference “Virtual Victoria” will be happening on Saturday and Sunday 1 and 2 May. Registration will be free and the booking site will open soon – you’ll be notified.
From the Calendar page here you can subscribe to the Club's event calendar.
This will result in the Club's calendar being added to your existing calendar subscriptions, thus ensuring that as an event is added (or modified) to the Club's calendar, it will appear on your phone, tablet etc. Calendars supported are Outlook, Google and Apple.
Take the link, Subscribe to Calendar, from the Calendar Page.
For browser users who are unfamiliar with this trick, it allows you to "force" a link you are clicking on to open in another tab of your browser.
Usually, links open in the same tab of your browser, meaning you can no longer see the page you came from. To see it again you would normally just hit the back button.
Opening in a new tab allows you to easily switch between the two, (or more) pages.

Just a reminder to members, the above information regarding birthdays and anniversaries comes directly from each members information contained in the Club Runner (Rotary) database. As I have said before, it is up to each member to check, add or change information in their own profile. As editor, I do not enter this information into this bulletin. It is passed directly from the database.

A reminder to members to keep checking the calendar of upcoming events for evening and perhaps, one day, daytime events.
