Hello there. My name is Ian Ballantine and I am Past District Governor District 9810, 2023-24.
About me….
  • I live in Sandringham, Vic
  • Joined Rotary Sept 1997
  • Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central
  • Served as Club President: 2004-5 and 2018-19
  • Regular Board member
  • Was Market Manager for about 6 years
  • Bulletin editor for about 20 years (continuing)
  • Website creator and maintainer for about 20 years (continuing)
  • Served as District Photographer since about 2003
  • Assistant Governor 2021-22
  • Appointed to role of District Governor Nominee in April 2021
  • Been retired from full time employment for about 15 years. My formal education was in Accountancy and mostly employed in senior financial controller type positions.
  • I was born in 1952 (you do the math!)
  • I have three adult children and 6 grandchildren
  • I have a life partner, Helen Parker who has two daughters at University.
  • She works as an Emergency Physician for Alfred Health (Sandringham)
